The heart of West Berlin
This walk will take us around the legendary Kurfürstendamm Boulevard in the heart of former West Berlin.
Heavily damaged during the WW2, this area presents a combination of splendid turn-of-the-century buildings and contemporary high-rise office centers and luxury hotels.
With its numerous fancy boutiques and fine-dining restaurants, the neighbourhood has a distinct bourgeois flair.
We will see the iconic remains of the war-torn Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and the hip Bikini Berlin concept shopping mall with an open-air roof terrace overlooking Germany's oldest zoo.
A cup of exquisite hot chocolate at a tiny café or an ice-cold Aperol Spritz at a classic vintage-style literary salon will keep us in the right mood to discover this elegant part of the city.
