Interactive and entertaining online classes for kids

class # 1

Searching for mythical creatures

Together with my little helpers - the Berlitrolls, aka Berlin Urban Trolls - I am inviting children aged 4-8 years old to explore the world of mythical creatures. We'll learn about 10 kinds of magical beasts and find answers to dozens of questions.

How do modern griffins look like?
How big is the egg of the Rukh Bird?
How does the roasted Phoenix look like?
Who can kill a dreadful Basilisk?
How successful is the "vegetable lambs" farming business? What is the difference between Mermaids and Sirens?
Where did medieval kings get unicorn horns from?
Where does the image of the Centaurus come from?
Who solved the riddle of the Sphinx?

And, of course, we'll talk about all kinds of probably the most famous of all magical beasts - the dragons - and discuss different kinds of them from ancient mythologies to popular animation films.

At the end of the session, the kids are welcome to make drawings/playdough/ crafted figures of their own imaginary mythical creatures and share them with the group and maybe demonstrate their favorite toy dragons and unicorns.

There will also be some homework - I will send 2 files to print out so that the kids can remember ''who is who'' in the world of mythical creatures.
